Dr. Palmer graduated from Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University with High Distinction and a Contact Lens Achievement Award in 1995. Her externships at Comprehensive Health Services of Detroit, Specialty Clinics at FSU, and the Lexington, KY VAMC provided exceptional education in areas of contact lenses, urgent care, ocular disease, pediatric, and geriatric optometry. After graduation, Dr. Palmer was selected for a residency position in primary, geriatric, and hospital- based optometry at the Sepulveda, CA, VAMC.

Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Palmer started her career in Oxnard, CA with a primarily Spanish-speaking patient population. After returning to the Mid-West in 2001, she continued to practice comprehensive optometry in Bartlett, IL, and then in St. Charles and Elgin, IL before joining Eye Specialists of Rockford in 2021.

In her free time, Dr. Palmer loves to work in her gardens, paint with soft pastels, and cook for family and friends. Dr. Palmer strives to provide quality optometric care in an informative and compassionate manner. Her special interests include medical optometry and advanced contact lens services.
